Information We Collect

SoftTouchRentals and the service providers used by our apps may collect and transmit the following categories of user data off the device. Account creation uses email address and password (Firebase Authentication). SoftTouchRentals does not currently offer Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or other OAuth account creation in the mobile app.

Account and personal information

• Name / display name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Login credentials (email and password)
• User IDs (for example Firebase Authentication UIDs used to identify your account)
• Host profile details you choose to provide (for example vehicle information or work state used for screening)

Location information

• Approximate location: listing address or location text entered by hosts
• Precise location coordinates: latitude and longitude entered for a listing so guests can find the stay (the app does not request continuous GPS tracking permission)

Identity verification and background checks

• Background check status and related identifiers returned by Checkr (or similar providers) when a host completes screening
• Identity documents or selfies collected by the background-check provider on their hosted flow when required by that provider

Rental, booking, and messaging information

• Booking and purchase history / reservation details
• In-app chat messages between renters and hosts
• SMS / text message content and phone numbers used for SMS
• Listing descriptions, house rules, and related content
• Reviews and ratings when available

Photos and videos

Hosts may grant access to the device photo library to upload room listing photos and videos. The current Android app does not request camera or microphone permission for those uploads. Listing media is stored with our cloud storage provider.

Payment and financial information

Payments and host payouts are processed through Stripe (including Stripe Checkout, PaymentSheet, and Stripe Connect where applicable). SoftTouchRentals does not store complete payment card numbers. We may store Stripe customer or Connect account identifiers, payment status, and booking amounts needed to operate the service. Google Pay may be available through Stripe when supported on the device.

Device and app identifiers

We may collect or receive:

• Push notification / device tokens (for example FCM tokens) used to deliver booking and message alerts
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• IP address and similar network metadata processed by our cloud providers when you use the service

SoftTouchRentals does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or a third-party crash-reporting SDK in the current mobile app release.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage accounts
• Verify identities
• Process bookings
• Process payments
• Conduct background checks
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Provide customer support
• Send and receive SMS / text messages related to listings, bookings, host–guest communication, and customer support
• Improve platform functionality
• Enforce our Terms of Service

SMS / Text Messaging

SoftTouchRentals uses SMS / text messaging (including through Twilio) so hosts, guests, and visitors can communicate about short-term rentals, bookings, and related support on our website and mobile apps.

What we collect for SMS

• Mobile phone numbers you provide
• Message content you send or receive through our SMS features
• Delivery metadata needed to send, receive, and troubleshoot messages (for example timestamps and delivery status)

How we use SMS

• Host–guest conversations about listings and reservations
• Customer support and transactional notices related to Soft Touch Rentals
• One-off texts you choose to send from our SMS tools (for example contacting a phone number you enter)

Message frequency varies based on your activity and conversations. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent

By providing a phone number and using SoftTouchRentals SMS features, you consent to receive SMS / text messages from Soft Touch Rentals for the purposes described above. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

How you opt in

Soft Touch Rentals obtains SMS consent through our branded opt-in form at sms-opt-in.html, where you enter your mobile number, review the Soft Touch Rentals SMS disclosures (including message frequency, rates, STOP / HELP, and that consent is not a condition of purchase), and check an affirmative consent box that links to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service before submitting. Soft Touch Rentals branding (name and logo) appears on that page so you know who is collecting consent.

Opt out and help

• Reply STOP to any Soft Touch Rentals SMS to opt out of further texts from that program. You may also contact us at support@dollarealms.com to request removal.
• Reply HELP for help, or email support@dollarealms.com.

Information Sharing

We may share information with:

• Google Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging / FCM) to operate accounts, store app data, run backend logic, and send push notifications
• Stripe for payment processing, Google Pay (when used), and host payout onboarding via Stripe Connect
• Checkr (or similar background-check providers) for host screening
• Twilio (and similar messaging providers) to send and receive SMS / text messages
• Service providers assisting platform operations
• Law enforcement when legally required

Google Play Data Safety

For the Soft Touch Rentals Android app on Google Play, the data types listed in this policy that leave the device — including data handled by Firebase, Stripe, Checkr, Twilio, and push notification services — are declared in the Google Play Data safety form. That declaration covers data collected by Soft Touch Rentals and data sent off-device by libraries or SDKs in the app, whether the data is transmitted to us or to a third party.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect user information. User data transmitted between the Soft Touch Rentals apps/website and our production service providers (including Firebase and Stripe) is protected in transit using HTTPS / TLS encryption.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
